Albert L. (Lyle) Moore, 87, of Stapleton died June 4, 2016 at his home. He was born June 26, 1928 at Finchville, NE to John R. and Urah (Beaver) Moore. He attended school at Gandy. Lyle served in the United States Army at Fr. Bliss and also served in England for 1 ½ years.
On December 31, 1952 he married Edna Blagdon Mitchell. They made their home on a farm south of Stapleton. Lyle was an agent for the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company for 50 years. He enjoyed many years of hunting in Nebraska and Colorado.
Survivors are step-daughters, Lila Engleman, Luella (Robert) Joedeman, and Shirley Mitchell all of Stapleton; grandchildren, Connie (Dan) Paxton of Lincoln, Brenda Coon (Jason Myers) of Arnold, Pam (Tim) Smith of North Platte, Michael (Malinda) Engleman of Stapleton, Linda (Joel) Wentworth of Emmet, NE, Kenneth (Carol) Joedeman of Stapleton, Robert (Kristi) Joedeman of Gurley, NE Bryan (Sue) Joedeman of Litchfield, MN, Lori (Darryl) Busenitz of Burns, KS, Julie (Kenley) Udd of Mills, Jerri (David) Loewer of Burden, KS, Penni (Tim) Shaw of Bassett, NE, Debi (Shane) Sundermann of Lincoln, Jan (Peter) Tighe of Broomfield, CO, Kris (Jenni) Joedeman of Stapleton, Kari Joedeman of Gandy, and Nikki (Lamar) Jackson of Coon Rapids, MN; sisters-in-law, Wanda Moore of Ogallala, and Marilyn Moore of North Platte; 59 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 37 years, Edna; brothers, Samuel (Lenora), John, and Ray; sisters, Margaret (Ira) Cumpston, Helen (Melvin) Waits, Zelma Moore, Audrey (Larry) Bierma, Betty (Edwin) Schaeffer, and an infant sister Bertha; and a son-in-law, Charles Engleman.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2016 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Wentworth officiating. Burial will follow at McCain Cemetery near Stapleton with military honors graveside. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
