Arlene Francis Meredith, age 71 of North Platte, passed away Thursday November 27, 2014.
Arlene was born on September 18, 1943 in Canada. She grew up in western Nebraska, graduating from Kimball High School with the class of 1961. After high school she attended nursing school in Pueblo, CO. She returned to Kimball where she married Allen Meredith Sr. in 1964 and the couple resided there until moving to Callaway, where she was employed at the high school. In 1979 she moved to Rock Springs, WY where she worked with her brother Robert. After Rock Springs, she moved to North Platte and worked at The Shepherd's until it closed. Arlene's faith was very important to her and she loved her church, St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Her family, especially her grandchildren, was the center of her life.
Arlene is survived by her mother Eileen Cannon of Draper, UT; children Allen Meredith of Green River, WY and Robert Meredith of Kearney, NE; grandchildren Andrew (Ashton) Meredith of Ft. Collins, CO, Alex Meredith and Allison Meredith of Green River, WY, Brandin, Sebastian and Greyson Meredith of Kearney, NE; siblings Eileen J. Everton of Sidney, NE and Robert Dale (Elaine) Cannon of Green River, WY; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Dale Cannon; son Andrew; and brother Edward Lee Cannon.

Christian Wake Services will be 7:00 P.M. December 5, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday December 6, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with the Rev. James Golka as celebrant. Inurnment will at Rosehill Cemetery near Callaway. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so Monday through Friday 9 -5. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
