IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bentley Charles
Hinrichs
April 5, 2018 – August 15, 2023
Bentley Charles Hinrichs, 5, gained his angel wings surrounded with love at his home on August 15th, 2023.
He was born on April 5th, 2018, in North Platte, to Christopher and Tonya Hinrichs completing the family of four joining his big sister, Briawna.
Bentley enjoyed life and lit up any room with his handsome, blue eyes (and never-ending long eyelashes), smiles and giggles. He blessed his family with an amazing healthcare team and many adventures, including a cross-country trip to California for his first ever intensive therapy session in Los Angeles. Bentley became famous through his creation of intensive therapy sessions at Orange County in Iowa and at Munroe-Meyer Institute in Omaha.
He taught everyone he met a whole new understanding of patience and resilience. His progress in life was always steady and slow. His big sister, Briawna, being the biggest and loudest cheerleader when he accomplished a new skill. No matter how hard the challenge, Bentley would always fight and overcome his disabilities to obtain the goal.
Bentley loved Mickey Mouse, his family, eating and being outdoors, especially swimming!
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Hinrichs and great-grandparents, Maxine and Charles Kelley.
Survivors include his parents, Chris and Tonya Hinrichs; the BEST big sister EVER, Briawna; his grandparents, Doug and Theresa Kelley of North Platte, Maggie House of Lewellen; his great-grandmothers, Darlene Haines of North Platte and LeeAnn Hinrichs of Brule; his aunts and uncles, Jarret (Shanna) Hinrichs of Rowlett, TX, Tamara (Nolan) Clouse and Timothy (Mary Beth) Kelley, all of North Platte; his North Platte cousins, Keeghan, Braeden, Gatlyn and Huxlee and numerous healthcare providers that became family during Bentley's PICU roll coaster rides and his therapy sessions!
Visitation will be Friday, August 18th from 12 to 7 pm with family present from 5 to 7 pm at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home.
To honor Bentley, a celebration of life with food, fun and refreshments will be on Friday, August 25th from 4 to 7 pm at Occasions with all family and friends welcome. Please feel free to wear casual clothes to celebrate Bentley's life because he would want everyone ready to have fun and enjoy the party.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up at First National Bank to donate, in his honor, for two of Bentley's favorite therapy organizations, Kearney Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program and Munroe-Meyer Institute, to assist other families with providing the much-needed therapy for their loved ones.
Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
