Catherine Ellen "Kate" Schumacher, 73, of North Platte, passed away September 15, 2021 at home.  She was born on August 11, 1948 to Robert and Georgia (Adkins) Crosier in Omaha.

Kate graduated from St. Edward High School with the class of 1966.  She married James Schumacher in 1966 and to this union two children were born, Barbara Lynn and Benjamin James.

Kate moved to North Platte in 1979 and attended North Platte Beauty Academy.  She worked at Regis for several years.  After retirement she kept herself busy with many little jobs.  Kate was very much a spitfire that always spoke her mind, yet she had a very tender heart.

Survivors include two children, Barb (Mike) Kelsey of North Platte, Ben (Teresa) Schumacher of North Platte; grandchildren, Lincoln (Alle) Schumacher of North Platte, Katie (Kent) Smith of North Platte; great grandchildren, Jude and Lucy; siblings, Diana Klassen of St. Edward, Phyllis (Mick) Case of Arizona, Pam (Dean) Miller of St. Edward, Larry (Heather) Crosier of North Platte, Kevin Crosier of North Platte; special friend, Bruce; numerous other family members and friends.

Kate was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Georgia; brother, Daran Crosier.
