IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cinda "Cindy"
Cooper
March 20, 1948 – January 13, 2021
Cinda J. "Cindy" Cooper, 72, of North Platte, passed away January 13, 2021 at Great Plains Health. She was born March 20, 1948 to John and Mildred (Hibbs) Armatis in Omaha.
Cindy graduated from St. Patrick's Catholic High School in 1966. On February 15, 1969, she married Dennis Cooper at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The couple resided in North Platte where they raised their seven children.
Cindy and Dennis have been married for 51 years; they were high school sweethearts attending senior prom together. Their bond continued to deepen through the years as they watched their children and grandchildren grow. Cindy was very crafty and loved to sew. Her children often kept her busy with countless requests that ranged from costumes, blankets, curtains, wedding decorations, and floral arrangements. Her artistic gifts were truly admired by all, due to her ability to make amazing items without any type of pattern. Cindy was known for her creativity, caring, and self-less nature. Many of her children's friends thought of her as a mom as well. She was a good friend to many. Her faith was a large part of her life and she was very active within the church.
Above all, the relationship she developed with her seven children and eleven grandchildren was so special to her. Cindy loved to spend time with them and we are absolutely heartbroken she is no longer here on earth with us, but we know she will be watching from above.
Survivors include husband Dennis of North Platte; children, Jill (Calvin) Peterson of Omaha, Danielle (John) Klosen of Dodge, John Cooper of Davenport, IA, Douglas (Jennifer) Cooper of Gretna, Jason (Kimberly) Cooper of Hickman, Tessa (Mick) Wamsley of Hickman, Nicole (Jeff) Kuhn of Bennington; grandchildren, Caitlin, McKenna, and Colton Klosen, Avery, Jack and Trey Cooper, Ella, Mason and Landon Wamsley, Kennedy and Carter Kuhn; siblings, Lynn (Kenny) Cope of Ft. Worth, TX, Greg (Denise) Armatis of Omaha, Susanne Funk of Omaha, Mary (Mike) Schoemann of Oslo, Norway; numerous other family members and many friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Mike and Marty Armatis; daughter-in-law, Angie Cooper; nephew, Zachary Armatis; brother-in-law, Jerry Funk.
