Cory Abbott, 53, passed away April 2, 2026 in New York. He was born on February 27, 1973 to William and Virginia (Reyes) Abbott in Kalamazoo, MI.

Cory was raised in a military family so they moved often. He did construction and restaurant work in the New York area. Cory loved Star Wars and the music group 311 but he loved spending time with his daughter Maggie the most.

Survivors include daughter, Maggie Abbott of High Park, New York; brothers, Mark Abbott of Hershey, Eric Abbott of Las Vegas, NV, Phillip Abbott of Fort Worth, TX, Chris Abbott of Dallas, TX; numerous other family members and many friends.

Cory was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia.
