Crystal D. Lee-Macias, 45, of North Platte, passed away September 18, 2025 at UNMC in Omaha after a hard fought but short battle with pancreatic cancer.  She was born July 29, 1980 to Russell Lee and Marilyn (Griffiths) Schmidt in North Platte.

Crystal moved with her family to Madrid and attended Wheatland Public School.  She moved to Texas and worked as a waitress on the boardwalk in San Antonio.  Crystal's daughter Haylee was born in Waco in 2000.  In June of 2009, Crystal moved to Ogallala then to North Platte.  Her son Jayden was born in 2023 in Lincoln.

Crystal worked at Dave's Place and there she met Austin Macias.  The two were married for a short time until Austin passed away on July 25, 2023.  Crystal loved taking her son Jayden to Cody Park and her dogs, a beagle named Snoopy and a jack russell named Fifi.

Survivors include children, Haylee Lopez and Jayden Macias of North Platte; parents, Russell (Denise) Lee of Madrid, Marilyn (Craig) Schmidt of Olathe, KS; sisters, Machelle (Mitch) McCloskey of Grant, Brooke (Jordan) Namuth of Ogallala; niece, Taryn; nephews, Wyatt, Tannen, and Barrett; numerous other family members and friends.

Crystal was preceded in death by husband, Austin Macias; grandparents, Francis and Roberta Lee, LeRoy and Edna Griffiths.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, September 25, 2025 at St Patrick's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Grant.  Rosary will be held at 10:00 A.M. prior to Mass.  Visitation, with family present, will be held 4:00-6:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
