Darlene Marie Osborn, 92, of North Platte, passed away on August, 2, 2021 at North Platte Care Center. Darlene was born June 19, 1929, in Omaha, NE., to Robert and Frances (Phillips) Osborn.
Darlene graduated high school at Central High in Omaha, NE and attended Pasadena City College. She started a career at AT&T at the age of 17 and worked there through age 55. She lived in various places and moved to North Platte 12 years ago. Darlene had five children; Linda, Su, Kathy, Alyce and Walter.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and traveling and she had traveled to every continent. Darlene loved her church, and was a faithful member. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
Darlene is survived by her five children; Linda Pace, Altamonte Springs, FL., Su Harper, North Platte, NE., Kathy (Dan) Shea, North Platte, NE., Alyce Troll, Sioux Center, IA, and Walter Pepper of North Platte, NE, 7 grandchildren; Mathew Pace, Linda Shea, Dan Shea, Richard Tromacek, Christopher Troll, Sarah Grosnick, Andrea Troll, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Walker Road Church of Christ, North Platte, NE.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 6, 2021 at 9:30 A.M., at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Ned Cooper officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 7909 Mormon Bridge Road, Omaha, NE. following the service. Visitation will be Thursday, August 5, 2021, from noon – 7:00 p.m., with family receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
