David Allen Chaney, age 63, of North Platte, died January 28, 2022 at Great Plains Health.  He was born on June 18, 1958 in Hastings, NE to Thomas and JoAnne (Porter) Chaney, the oldest of three children.

David graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in San Antonio in 1976.  He worked driving the "Big Rigs" in his career and enjoyed traveling the country.

Survivors include his sister, Anne Rahe of Clearwater, FL; a brother, Robert (Emily) Chaney of New River, AZ; nieces and nephews, James Koehler of Seattle, WA, Kristel Koehler of Clearwater, FL, Melanie Rahe of Annadale, VA, Kurt Chaney and Brandy Chaney, both of Tampa, FL; and 6 great nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Thomas Koehler.
