IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Debra "Deb"
Jean Sandoval
October 15, 1956 – December 8, 2024
Debra Jean Holden-Sandoval, 68, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024 at the North Platte Care Center. Deb was born on October 15, 1956 to Lawrence and Joyce (Greb) Holden in Fargo, North Dakota. She moved to North Platte as a teenager where she graduated from North Platte High School and met her husband. She was united in marriage to Richard Sandoval on January 11, 1976. She became a mother to Richard on Christmas Eve in 1977. Six years later, she gave birth to her youngest son, Lawrence. She became a proud grandma in February of 1998 and a great-grandma in 2018.
Deb was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and loved supporting her family and friends. She was a den mother for her sons and attended her family's programs, concerts, and various other activities. She especially loved to hear them playing music and was a "band mom" to all of her sons' band mates.
Deb looked forward to her annual trips "back home" to North Dakota. She loved being in the country and riding horses. She was no stranger to hard work growing up and that gave her an incredible work ethic. She worked various jobs to provide for her family and friends including her 17 years of service at Great Plains Health. She met so many people working at the hospital and many of her coworkers she considered like family.
Deb was preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence and Joyce, her brothers; Dave, Chris and Larry Lee, her sister Darla, as well as several of her beloved pets.
Deb is survived by her husband, Richard; their two sons, Richard and Larry; her grandchildren, Alexandra Sandoval and Xander Brown; her one and only great-granddaughter, Athena; her sister-in-law Karla Holden, Linda Holden, and sister Janeen (Charlie) Swenson, as well as various nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her beloved furry friend Bandit and her three "daughters of her heart", Jennifer (John) Hunt, Amber Brichacek (Corey Hoskins), and Crystal Carland (Bruce Swanson). She will also be missed by all of her friends from church, Great Plains Health and the grocery store.
Services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 21, 2024 at First Lutheran Church with Reverend Patrick Sipes officiating. Burial will take place in Bismarck, North Dakota at a later date. Visitation will be held noon-5:00 P.M., Friday, December 20, 2024 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
