Debra Allen, 63, of Sutherland, Nebraska, passed away on December 24, 2021.  She was born to Delilah Kohl on April 21 1958, in North Platte.

Debra grew up in North Platte, and attended schools in North Platte. In 1981 Debra gave birth to Cody Kohl.   Then she attended Mid Plains Community College and earned her LPN degree 1989.  She practiced her degree at Great Plains Health and later at Linden Manor.  She met and married Gary Allen in North Platte on November 17, 1990.  The family moved to Grand Island in 1994 where Gary accepted a job.   Deb loved to craft, everything from making dream catchers to painting.  She loved to cook, especially for holiday picnics.  She had a love for all but was outspoken and very stubborn.  You always knew what was on her mind.

Debra is survived by her son Cody (Crystal) Kohl, Sutherland, Nebraska; grandchildren, Cash, Cauy and Caslynn; sisters, Jeanette Gibson, Debbie and Denise; lifelong friend, Dianna "Diny" Linkenauger; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Allen; mother, Delilah Kohl; and her brothers, Wes Kohl, Arthur Kohl and infant brothers Kevin and Bill Kohl.

Cremation was chosen.  Family graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Miller Cemetery near Tryon, NE.
