Delila L. Bailey, 83 of North Platte passed away July 2, 2016 at the North Platte Care Center. Delila was born January 21, 1933 in Logan County, NE to George B. and Verga Hazel (Zimmerman) Bailey. She graduated from Gandy High School. Delila worked as a nurse, substitute teacher and worked for many years as a cook at the Skelly Inn until retiring due to health reasons.
Delila enjoyed doing crafts, baking, and watching T.V. She loved her family and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ione Merritt; and a brother, Donald Bailey.
She is survived by her brother, Bill (Alda) Bailey of Arnold; niece, Gena (Paul) Gray of Sutherland; a great-niece, Taarna Gray; two great-nephews, Michael and Sebastian Gray all of Sutherland.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016 at McCain Cemetery near Stapleton with the Reverend Tim Eighmy officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. The casket will be closed.
