Derek William Price, 23, of North Platte passed away May 12, 2013 at his home. He was born July 11, 1989 in San Diego, CA to D'lise Oviatt and William Price.
Derek grew up in San Diego before moving to North Platte when he was 14. He attended North Platte High School. Derek joined the job corps in Chadron to learn welding, and he had worked for Scott Steele Construction and Roofing for the last three years as a roofer. He loved his job. Derek loved music, skate boarding and his friends. He liked to have fun and make people laugh.
Survivors include his mother D'lise (Dale) Tederman of Sutherland; father, William Price of North Platte; brother, David (Nydia) Armer of Baja, CA; maternal grandmother, Jeanne (Doug Anderson) Tourville; grandfather, Michael Ochoa both of San Diego, CA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rosie Ochoa.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Fischer officiating.
Visitation will be noon until 9:00 P.M. today at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests attendants to NOT wear black.
