Donna J. Craig, age 60, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Great Plains Health.

Donna was born September 4, 1965, in Crestview, Florida, to Betty Jean George. She grew up in Louisiana before moving back to Crestview doe college, graduating with an Associate’s Degree. She went on to work as a server in many restaurants in the area. During this time, Donna had her two beloved daughters: Amanda in Pascagoula, Mississippi, in 1985 and Amber in Milton, Florida, in 1988. She worked for many years to support her family before retiring to help take care of her grandbabies.

Donna will be remembered for her fierce independence and strong-will, which helped her support herself and her family throughout her life. She loved filling her free time with new experiences and challenges through her videogame hobby. But most of all, Donna loved her family. Raising her kids was the greatest achievement of her life, and she was all about her grandbabies when they came along.

Those left to cherish Donna’s memory are her daughters Amanda (Brian) Holt of Jacksonville, FL, and Amber (Joey) Simpson of North Platte; grandchildren Andruw Simpson, Ambriana Holt, Jordyn Simpson, and Cason Holt; and best friend Willow McMillan.

She is preceded in death by her mom Betty Jean and her Granny Maggie.

Cremation has been chosen. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
