Donna Jean Larsen, 89, of North Platte passed away June 3, 2019 at Centennial Park Retirement Village.
Donna was born April 13, 1930 in North Platte to Grover and Mary (Perry) Baldwin.
She graduated from North Platte High School in 1949, and married Marion Larsen September 7, 1950 in North Platte. Donna worked for Tupperware, Avon, and the Memorial Hospital in the dietary department, retiring from Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Salvation Army Church, where she was a dedicated volunteer, helping any way she could, she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Refunding and rebates, baking, and making candy, canning, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren were some of the things in life she enjoyed.
Survivors include her children, Pamela (Bernie) Ruppert of McCook, Patrick (Barb) Larsen of Brush, CO, and Michael (Jane) Larsen of North Platte; grandchildren, Wendy (Fred) Gee, Dustin (Amy) Ruppert, Travis (Stephanie) Ruppert, Justin Larsen, Joshua Larsen, Luke (Holly) Larsen, and Abby (Tim) Roesch; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Jerre Anne Joliffe of North Platte; sister, Myrtle Pollat of Crete; and sisters-in-law, Gertrude Stewart of North Platte, Norine Stewart of McCook, and Donna Keithley of North Platte.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion; grandson, Shane Larsen; infant twin brother, Donald Dean Baldwin; brothers, James Baldwin, DeWayne Baldwin, and George Baldwin; sisters, Dolores Crow, and Barbara Ellis; sisters-in-law, June Gosnell, and Edna Larsen; brothers-in-law, Sherman Larsen, Lawrence Stewart, Chester Stewart, Bernard Gosnell, and Bill Keithley; numerous other family members; and many friends.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army Food Pantry and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Salvation Army Church. Burial will be 1:30 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be noon – 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
