Doris Jean Kissinger Shuhart, October 10,1949 – October 10, 2020

Doris Shuhart of North Platte, 71, of North Platte, passed away at Centennial Park on Saturday, October 10, 2020. Doris was born in Sutherland, NE to the proud parents of Lester E and Ruth I Kissinger. She grew up in Rantoul, Illinois with stops in Morocco, Africa, Chelseywood, England, before settling down and graduating from Hershey High School with the class of 1967. Upon graduation she lived in Denver, Colorado where she went to business school. Life then took her to Tyler, Texas where she met Frank Shuhart, they married on October 21, 1976. She then went to work for the city of Tyler until she retired. In 2014 she moved back to North Platte to be closer to her family.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, a sister Kathy and brother, Rick. Survivors include her daughter Sharilyn Kay-Sweet, Rapid City S.D., brother; Lester E (Shirley) Kissinger of North Platte, along with several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
