Doris E (Fattig) Tiffany, age 93 of Burwell, Nebraska passed away October 28, 2025 at the Community Memorial Health Center of Burwell. Doris was born July 5, 1932 and was adopted by Glenn & Helen (Klump) Fattig as a baby.
Doris accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a young girl at a tent revival near Stapleton, Nebraska. She lived a moral Christian life. She was united in marriage to Wayne E. Tiffany on August 27, 1950 at her parent's home east of Ringgold, Nebraska. They made their first home in Sherman County where his parents lived at that time. To this union six children were born; Steven Wayne, Russell Kent, Mark Craig, Rhonda Elaine, Bonnie Sue, and Vickie Ray. In 1960 they moved back to the Stapleton area where Wayne was employed by the Richard Wells Ranch for many years. They belonged to the Stapleton Presbyterial Church. Doris was Sunday School Treasurer for several years and belonged to the Lifeboat Mariners Club. After leaving the Wells ranch they lived in Thedford, Nebraska for twenty years. Doris was the treasurer of Women's Fellowship at UCC church in Thedford. They purchased Wayne's mother, Zina Tiffany's house in Gandy, Nebraska where they lived until they moved to Burwell to be near son Russell and wife Marcia. Doris was a lover of all animals especially cats. She was always adopting strays that needed a home. Doris was devoted wife, mother and care taker for her family.
Doris is survived her children; Steve (Carol) Tiffany, Russell (Marcia) Tiffany, Mark Tiffany, Rhonda Tiffany, Bonnie (Bob) Klink, Vickie Mowers; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. Along with many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Helen (Klump) Fattig; mother and father-in-law Zina and Clifford Tiffany; husband Wayne Tiffany; brother Jim Fattig; sister-in-law, Inez Fattig; grandson Travis Klink; granddaughter Kristen Terronez; daughters-in-law Verona Tiffany, Juliet Tiffany.
Memorials are suggested to the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Stapleton, Nebraska or Burwell Volunteer Fire Department, Burwell, Nebraska. Online condolences and live streaming of the service can be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Stapleton, Nebraska, with Rev. Mark Rohrbach officiating. Burial will follow at the Loup Valley Cemetery, Stapleton, Nebraska. Visitation will be at 9:30 A.M., Saturday at the church prior to the service. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
