Dorothy Jean Grigg, 94, of North Platte formerly of Sun City, AZ, passed away August 19, 2018 at Premier Estates.

Dorothy was born on September 15, 1923 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Claude and Helen (Inman) Vredenburg. She grew up in Ft. Wayne, marrying Charles R. Grigg December 25, 1946. The family lived all over the country following Charles in the construction business, settling in Trenton in 1958, where they ran Sandy's Café for 8 years. They moved to Pullman, MI and lived there until moving to Sun City, AZ in 1984, moving to North Platte April 2017 to be closer to family.

Dorothy had a love for making quilts, especially baby quilts that she donated for many years.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Claude Wayne (Evelyn) Grigg of Fennville, MI, and Sharon Meduna of North Platte; 10 grandchildren, including Jessica (Tom) Scheer of Omaha, Jon (Nashea) Meduna and Jay (Jessica) Meduna all of North Platte; 25 great-grandchildren, including Ellyana, Pheenyx, Mackena, Annalisa, Holdynn, and Julian: 2 great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Rita Reed, and Marguerite Norris both of Sun City, AZ, and Donna (Richard) Romanowski of Glendale, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Roger Grigg; and several brothers, and sisters.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 24, 2018 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with the Reverend Bob Deardoff officiating.
