Dyette Erlaine (Tillman) Kettering was born July 9, 1949, in a sod house north of Hershey, Nebraska to Garland & Florence Hazel Tillman. She grew up in and graduated from Hershey, NE. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Kettering on November 11, 1967. They had 58 wonderful years of marriage. She passed away on January 10, 2026, at The Maples at Centennial care facility.
Dyette and LeRoy had three children DeAnna, Lee, and ReNae. She was fortunate to live near her parents for most of her life and cared for them until they passed away.
Dyette is survived by her husband LeRoy Kettering, daughters DeAnna Lafferty, ReNae Ogden and her husband Travis, grandchildren Justin Lafferty, Kelsey and Kyle Gaskill, Tyler & Zoey Ogden, Colton & Samantha Ogden, Drew Ogden & fiancé Eryka Anderson, great grandchildren William Ogden, baby Gaskill arriving soon, and Hazence Solko and many other family members and friends.
Dyette was a very special wife, mother, and friend to all her family and friends. She was a very polite and easy-going woman, and she never met a person she did not like. She loved all children, animals, and country living. She was a Nebraska Husker fan and loved Professional Bull Riding (PBR).
Dyette was preceded in death by her son Lee Kettering, grandson Matthew Lafferty, great grandchildren, parents, grandparents on both sides, brother DeWayne Tillman, sister Darlene Trusty, and several other family members and friends.
Celebration of life services will be held at Adams & Swanson in North Platte on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 10:30 AM CST. Fellowship and dinner will follow at Hershey Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Hershey Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of your choice.
