Ellie Renee Siegel, 12, of North Platte, passed away October 21, 2020 at UNMC in Omaha.

She was born April 13, 2008 to Shane and Jessica (Burke) Siegel in Lincoln.  Ellie was baptized at Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She attended grade school at Lake Maloney Elementary before going to North Platte Catholic Schools for the last two years.  Ellie was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.

Ellie brought so much love and joy to everyone in her life. She was a sweet and thoughtful girl who always strived to make others happy. Gentle and loving, Ellie dreamed of one day being a kindergarten teacher.

Ellie was a driven and motivated girl who always took pride in doing her very best. She had a wide variety of hobbies and interests. Ellie enjoyed art, spending countless hours drawing and making crafts. She loved exploring the beauty in nature, always on the lookout for scenic views and breathtaking sunsets.

Ellie loved spending time with her friends. She was an avid Harry Potter fan and was obsessed with ice cream and shopping. Ellie's favorite sport was volleyball, and she also enjoyed swimming, dancing, and running. Though reserved, those who knew Ellie best got to see the goofy and quirky side of her personality and were often left laughing and only wanting more.

In her short time on Earth, Ellie touched many lives and will be profoundly missed by so many. We all take great comfort in knowing that Ellie is now at peace and is with the Lord, dancing with the angels in Heaven.

Survivors include her parents, Shane and Jessica of North Platte; sister, Mae and brother, Burke; grandparents, John and Cheri Burke of Imperial, Bob and Shelly Siegel of Lincoln; great grandmother, Dorothy Stewart of Fairbury; aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Evan) Beimers of Highlands Ranch, CO, Jason (Whitney) Burke of Imperial, Stuart Siegel of Lincoln, Scott (Reva) Siegel of North Platte, Sam (Jade) Siegel of Hershey; cousins, Claire Beimers, Eli Beimers, Silas Burke, Samuel Burke, Sutton Burke, Zoey Siegel, Stella Siegel, Rex Siegel, Red Siegel, and Rocky Siegel; numerous other family members and friends.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 29, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Deardoff, Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, officiating. Book signing will be held 9-5, Wednesday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, following from 5:00 - 8:00 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow the service at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, North Platte, NE.

Memorials are suggested to the North Platte Catholic Schools Endowment-Trust Inc., PO Box 57, North Platte, NE.  Services will be livestreamed on the Adams & Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.
