Enid Marlene LaRue, age 96 of Sutherland, passed away Thursday August 9, 2018 at Sutherland Care Center.

Enid was born June 29, 1922 in North Platte, NE to Alfred Jess and Gertie Maude (Calkins) Anderson. She graduated from McPherson County High School in 1941 and then moved to North Platte. She married Archie Ridenour on October 28, 1941 and to this union 3 children were born, Rodney, Rosalee Kay and Marilyn Rae. She married Frank "Bud" Larue on January 28, 1956. Enid was an independent person with a strong work ethic who was always taking care of her family.

Enid is survived by her husband Bud of Sutherland, NE; son Rodney (Karen) Ridenour of Sutherland, NE; grandchildren Eric Ridenour of Thedford, Rogina Ridenour of North Platte, Candi Myers of North Platte, and Trevor (Amber) Perkins of Oceanside, CA; 10 great- and several step-great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Gertie Anderson; daughters Rosalee Kay and Marilyn Rae; and brothers Jack, Leon, Keith, Gene and Neil, who was killed in action during WWII; and sister Iris.

Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com . Cremation was chosen, and private family graveside services will be held at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
