Ethel (Reynoldson) Cook passed away in the early hours, on November 29, 2023 at the age of 91.
Ethel was born near St. Edward on October 1, 1932 to Clarence and Alpharetta (Brock) Reynoldson. She attended school at District 9 through the 10th grade. Ethel graduated from Albion High School with the class of 1949. She graduated from Wayne State and Kearney State.
Ethel married Edwin J. Cook on May 16, 1955 at Belgrade, NE. She taught school for six years in rural schools in Boone County, four years in the North Platte schools and 28 years at Maxwell Public School, retiring in 1995.
Ethel was a member of the United Methodist Church at Brady and a member of the UMW.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; brothers, Verne, Lawrence, and Merle Reynoldson; sister, Leone Green; many wonderful sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Ethel is survived by her children, Lois (Brian) Lund of Casper, WY, Leon (Kristi) Cook of Dunlap, TN, Sandra (Michael) Ries of Malcolm, NE; grandchildren, Cami and Erin Lund, Tyler and Haley Cook, Trent and Jason Ries; great grandchild, Ryder Ries; many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Brady Methodist Church. Online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com.
Services will be held 11:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 at Brady Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be held noon-7:00, with family present 5:00-7:00, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
