Eugene Hans Wurl, 94, passed away February 3, 2021 at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte. He was born on February 28, 1926 to Otto F. and Bertha (Streit) Wurl in Elm Creek, NE.

Eugene graduated from Maxwell High School with the class of 1944. He was enlisted in the United States Army from June 23, 1944 to May 14, 1946. Eugene married Bonnie Matson on September 6, 1947. Eugene was employed by Dowhower Construction from 1959-1991, when he retired. He leaves a legacy of beautiful woodwork in many homes and businesses. He was a lifetime member of VFW and American Legion.

Eugene is survived by sons, Terry (Theresa) of Round Rock, TX, Doug "Boomer" (Karen Nelson) of North Platte; grandchildren, Kristen (Peter) Bridgeman of Austin, TX, Erik (Isabel) Wurl of Round Rock, TX, Brock (Emily) Wurl of North Platte, Kylie (Tim Felty) Bentley of Round Rock, TX, Jackie (Mike) Goode of Omaha, NE, Tyrell Wurl of Leander, TX, and Derek (Hannah) Wurl of Lincoln, NE.; seventeen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonnie; brother, Kenneth Wurl.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 5, 2021 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell with pastor Job Vigil officiating. The family requests casual attire. Visitation will be noon-7:00 P.M., Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is charge of arrangements. The service will be livestreamed on the Adams & Swanson Facebook page for those that are unable to attend.
