Floyd Allen Young, 75 years old resident of Colcord, Oklahoma, died on August 11, 2019 at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. Born on February 23, 1944 in Ada Valley, Arkansas, he was the son of Jeff Young and Leta Mash Young, Floyd graduated from Marlton High School in Marlton, Arkansas. He had multiple Degrees, including Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and only lacked and Algebra call for his Nuclear Engineering. Floyd helped to build a power plant in North Platte, Nebraska, and stayed to work for Nebraska Public Power Department.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon Young and Billy Joe Flowers; and a sister, Ruby Jewel Hitchcock.

He is survived by three children and a special nephew: son, Norman Young of Watts, Oklahoma, daughters, Sue Howell and husband Bobby of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Sarah Roper and husband Sean of Jay, Oklahoma; and nephew like a son, Robert Carter and wife Auvoni of Watts, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Pickens and husband Steve of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. August 27, 2019 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, NE, 12:00 p.m. August 28, 2019 at Augusta City Lake in Augusta, Kansas 12:00 p.m. August 30, 2019 in Watts, Oklahoma, and 2:00 p.m. September 1, 2019 at the Little White Church in Ada Valley, Arkansas.
