Obituary

Gary Lee Aspinall, age 80 passed from this life to the next on June 19, 2019 at Linden Court, North Platte, Nebraska.

Gary was born in Gordon Nebraska on January 4, 1939 to Tom Aspinall and Mary Allie (Simms) Aspinall. He graduated from Gordon High School with the class of 1956. Post-graduation he lived in Long Beach, California before being drafted into the army. Gary served in the United States Army from December 1961 to December 1963, most of that time spent at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association.

Over the years he was employed in a meat cutting plant in California, Farmers Co-Op in Gordon, Scott Manufacturing in Clinton and farming south of Clinton.

He is survived by sisters, Donna Wilson of North Platte, Doris Chaney of Lincoln, and Peggy Reimann (Ray) of Hay Springs; nieces, Brenda(Danny) Leggiadro of Lincoln, Beverly Chaney of Boise, Idaho, Susan(Joe) Sukraw of North Platte, Sandy(Steve)Hurst of Alma, Florida, Cara McKillip of Hay Springs, and Shannon(Derik) Underwood of Alliance; nephews, John (Terri) Chaney of Coto de Caza, CA, Scott Wilson of North Platte, and Larel (Megan)Reimann of Hay Springs.; great nieces, Hannah Sukraw, Ava McKillip, Ali Hurst, Bristol Underwood, and Eliana Reimann; great nephews, Joshua, Ben & Nathan Sukraw, Matt & David Leggiadro, Cade McKillip, Burr Underwood and August Reimann.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephews, Bret Reimann and Michael Chaney.

As per his wishes there will not be a funeral service but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be held at the Veterans State Cemetery in Alliance. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
