Gary Herbert Ott, 77, of Wallace, passed away on October 17, 2022 at Great Plains Health.  Gary was born December 16, 1944 in Grant, NE to Herbert Earl and Ellen Marguerite (Smith) Ott.

Gary attended school at Madrid, Dickens, and Wallace, graduating from Wallace High School in 1963.  On November 15, 1964, he married Joan Thompson.  They were married for 57 years.  Gary had two life-long hobbies, hunting and fishing.

He leaves behind his wife, Joan Ott; daughters, Julie (Riley) Kelley, of North Platte, Deanna (Nick) Klosen, of Stapleton, Crystal (Cody) Bryant, of Wallace; grandchildren, Seth Kelley, Aaron Kelley, Shelby Klosen, Kayla (Klosen) Cook, Morgan Klosen, Brooke Bryant, Hunter Bryant, Brandy Bryant; great grandson, Cooper Kelley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Earl and Ellen Marguerite Ott; brother, Dennis Ott; and brother-in-law, Ronald Ogg.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Wallace Community Center with Pastor Matt Peyton officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later time.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home.
