Gerry "Sharon" Budd, 82, of North Platte, NE., passed away April 20, 2021, at Great Plains Health in North Platte.   She was born July 2, 1938, at St. Mary's hospital, in North Platte, to Joseph and Vera Alice (Carlson) Briegel.

Gerry attended Hershey School and graduated in 1957. She lived on a farm growing up, enjoyed riding horses, gardening, playing the organ, and serving the Lord in His Church. Gerry was saved March 27, 1997 and joined Riverside Baptist Church through baptism May 28, 1997. She left her job at Burger King in order to volunteer her services to clean the church.

Gerry is preceded in death by her mother, Vera Briegel in 1989; father, Joseph Briegel in 1992; son, Terry Fitch in July 2000.

She is survived by daughter, Corinna Carr; grandchildren, Nikki Fitch, Annaka Jenyce Gaitan, Christopher "Kory" Michael Carlson; great grandchildren, Sabrina Howell, Emma Marie Gaitan, Christopher Wyiat Carlson, Teagan Jenyce Gaitan.

Services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 26, 2021 at Riverside Baptist Church with Reverend Dwane Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Dickens Cemetery. Visitation will be held noon-6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements. We ask all guests to wear face coverings and observe personal distancing at events. The service will be livestreamed via the Adams & Swanson Facebook page for those unable to attend.
