Gloria Patricia (Pinkerton) Bryant, 95, of North Platte, passed away November 3, 2021 at home.  She was born on September 10, 1926 to Howard and Anna Pinkerton in Tryon, NE.

Gloria graduated from McPherson County High School in 1945.  After graduating she attended Chadron State College for one summer to get a teacher's certificate.  She taught at different country schools, Diamond Bar at Flats, NE, Childerson School at Tryon, NE and Pinkerton School at Tryon, NE.

Gloria was united in marriage on February 10, 1951 to Russel M. Bryant in Gering, NE.  The couple lived in different places as Russel worked on roads and ranches at Hyannis, Arthur, Sutherland, Tryon, Julesburg, CO, Big Springs, and finally settled in North Platte.

Gloria loved being with her grandchildren. She was an avid "Days Of Our Lives" watcher and loved the Huskers.  She enjoyed baking for family and friends.  Pumpkin pie, banana bread, a variety of cookies and let us not forget the "popcorn balls" were some of her specialties.  Her calendar was full with notes and reminders to send birthday and anniversary cards.  Her family was her pride and joy.

Gloria is survived by her children, Shirley of North Platte, Jim (Connie) of Grant, Patti of North Platte, Dan of Scottsbluff, Sandi of North Platte, Howard (Mary) of Gering, Betty (Derwin) of Pender; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russel; sisters, Doris, Hazel, Freda; brothers, Clarence, James, Harold, Marrion; nieces, Linda Fellin, Katherine Gove, and Barbara Anway; nephew, Harold Pinkerton; daughter-in-law, Jean Bryant; son-in-law, Randy Eicke.

Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 8 ^th , 2021 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Monte Reichenberg officiating.  Inurnment will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Those wishing to sign the book may do so noon-4:00 P.M., with family present from 2:00-4:00, on Sunday, November 7 ^th , 2021 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.

The service will be livestreamed via the Adams & Swanson Facebook Page for those unable to attend.
