Gloria Jean "Stormy" Read, age 53, of North Platte, died March 28, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte.  Stormy was born on March 21, 1967 in Greensburg, PA to Dominic and Lorraine (Barnhurst) Pandolph.

She grew up in Cedar City, UT and Hazelton, ID.  On July 11, 1992, she married Charles "Lucky" Read in Cedar City, UT. The couple moved to North Platte in 1998 when Charles hired on with UPRR.  Stormy enjoyed cake decorating, photography, making crafts, woodworking, and costume design for their Renaissance fairs.

Survivors include her husband Charles of North Platte; parents, Dominic Pandolph of Las Vegas, NV, and Lorraine Gibson of Hershey; grandmother, Jean Barnhurst of LaVerkin, UT; 4 children, Eric (Ruth Ann) Mecham of Grant, NE, and John (Holly) Read of North Platte, Savannah White of Kearney, and Jennifer Read of North Platte; 9 grandchildren, Alexis, Cyler, Trever, Kolton, Blake, Zaylynn, Jayclynn, Connor, and Jason; siblings, Michelle (Jeff) Hatch of North Platte, Lenore Johnson of LaVerkin, UT, Becky (Ray) Fletcher of Paxton,  Cathy Pandolph of Pennsylvania, Cindi Barrett, Denver CO, Kate Greene, Florida, Froggy of Utah, best friend and cousin Carol Staff, Elwood, NE, and `best friend Christa King, Geneva, NE; and many other family members and adopted grandchildren.  Stormy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Merlin Barnhurst, and Phillip and Gloria Carmella Pandolph; and a step father, Robert Gibson  A memorial has been established in her name and online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com.

Cremation was chosen and family services will be at a later date. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
