Goosey
November 7, 1936 – January 8, 2019
Harold J. Goosey, 82 of North Platte passed away January 8, 2019 at Great Plains Health. Harold was born November 7, 1936 in Rutledge, MO to Harold L. and Myrtle M. (Stoneking) Goosey.
On September 30, 1955 he enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany where he was a marksman. Harold married Donna Sparks on August 24, 1960. His family moved to North Platte and he joined them after his discharge. Harold worked as the Superintendent of Grounds at the North Platte Country Club. He worked at the club for 40 years, retiring in 2007.
Harold was a member of the VFW Post 1504, loved Nascar and Dale Earnhardt Jr. and hated Jeff Gordon! He enjoyed pheasant hunting, and especially loved fixing things, he was very particular and known as Mr. Fixit! He loved his grandchildren and family very much.
Survivors include his wife, Donna of North Platte; daughters, Carrie Naranjo(Kent Lichty), Jennifer (Steven) Coleman, Vickie Yearsley, and Dianna Goosey (Scott Nicholson) all of North Platte; daughter of the heart, Tammy (Matt) Christiancy of Kearney; brothers, Harry Goosey of North Platte, Glen (Janine) Goosey of Arizona, and Don (Mary) Goosey of North Platte; grandchildren, Nikki (Randy) Barker of North Platte, Kellie (Nick) Benzick of MN, Jessi (Cody) Kahler of Curtis, Steven (Marsha) Coleman, Jr. of North Platte, Alexis (Josh) Hood of Lincoln, Mackenzie (Ben) Crane of Ainsworth, and Jordan Rosse (Dillon Linson) of Mitchell; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Lowell Patterson; brothers, Gary, and Paul; sons-in-law, Ernie Naranjo, and Kirk Yearsley; granddaughter-in-law, Valerie Coleman; and a great-grandson, T.J. Barker.

Memorial Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with
Don Goosey officiating. Inurnment at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell will follow the service. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
