Obituary

Hugh W. "Chuck" Duncan II, age 61 of North Platte passed away February 22, 2014 at the Aurora Medical Center, Aurora, NE. Chuck was born June 25, 1952 in Okinawa, Japan to Hugh W. and Rosalia Aguinaldo Duncan I. The family moved to Seiling, OK and he graduated from there in 1969. After graduation he moved to Omaha, NE and attended Milford Nebraska Technical College graduating in 1972 as a "paste-up" artist. He hired on the Burlington Railroad and later on the Union Pacific Railroad. He also worked at Sandhills Industry and the Sutherland Ethanol Plant. Chuck married Lupe Medrano in 1983. He and his friends started the North Platte Boxing Club in 1977. He loved boxing, music especially Led Zeppelin, and watching sports with his boys. His family was his pride and joy.
Survivors include his wife, Lupe of North Platte; daughters, Olivia (Mario) Guerra, and Glenda Nesslein all of North Platte; sons, Larry (Jessica) Nesslein of North Platte, and Hugh "Chucky" (Shaleen) Nesslein of Aurora, CO; brother, Scott (Marilyn) Duncan of Kansas City, MO; step-sister, Doris Brewer of Council Bluffs, IA; step-brothers, Meryl (Marilyn) Dyer of Chesapeake, VA, and Dave (Rita) of Kansas City, MO; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Reverend Ralph Dyer; mother and father-in-law, Elisa and Tereso Medrano; brother-in-law, Fred Nehls; sister-in-law, Juanita Tarango; 2 great nieces; and a great nephew.

Memorial Services will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
