Irmgard "Irma" Johnson, age 85 of North Platte passed away October 30, 2013.
Irma was born February 29, 1928 in Germany to Wilhelm and Hilda (Quint) Fischer. She grew up in Germany and met Lloyd L. Johnson during WWII. The couple was married in Germany on November 17, 1949. The couple settled in North Platte in 1956 where she raised her family, loved to garden, read and do needlework.
Irma is survived by her daughters Peggy (Bob) Orosco of Covington, WA and Barbara (Paul) White of Byers, CO; a brother Erich (Mathilde) Fischer of Germany; a sister Hannelore (Bob) Schuermann of California; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Lloyd in 2008.
Memorials may be made to the Nebraska Arthritis Foundation and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.com. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday November 4, 2013 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home with the Reverend Nathan Wilke officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday November 3, 2013 from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
