Jacklyn Jane "Jackie" Beranek, passed away on July 9, 2023, at North Platte Care Center, at the age of 74.  On November 19, 1948, she was welcomed into the world by parents John "Jack" and Janet (Ferrens) Beranek in Gunnison, CO.

Jackie grew up in Colorado, in the towns of Gunnison and Lafayette.  As a child, she suffered a serious head injury, causing long term epilepsy and learning disabilities.  Jackie absolutely thrived around people, she always enjoyed having someone around.  She played all sorts of games, from Monopoly to slot machines, and she enjoyed listening music, Elvis Presley being her all time favorite.

Those that survive Jackie include her brother, James (Jojo) Beranek, of North Platte; sister, Judy Mercado, of Garden Grove, CA; nephew, Nelson Mercado Jr.; nieces, Melanie Beranek and Janelle Beranek.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John "Jack" and Janet; step-father, Roscoe J. Green; niece, Janet Irene Beranek; nephew, Jared Wayne Beranek.

A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Riverview Cemetery near Sutherland with Pastor Wade Hudson officiating.  Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
