Jacqueline J. "Jackie" Kelley, 88, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away November 25, 2024 at her home in North Platte. She was born on September 5, 1936 to Melvin E. and Irene (Clouse) Hiatt in Cambridge, Nebraska.
Jackie grew up in North Platte, graduated in 1954 from North Platte High School. She was raised by her paternal grandparents after her mother's death. Jackie moved to Canon City, Colorado where she met Herbert Kelley. They married on August 20, 1962. Upon their union, Herbert welcomed two children Rick and Ila that he raised as his own and they had a son together, Riley. In 1965 they moved to North Platte where they opened Kelley Tree Service, retiring in 2004. Jackie was very family oriented, loved holiday's, baking and all friends and family were welcomed. Her pies were famous at their get togethers.

Jackie is survived by her children, Ila Bain, Lincoln, Nebraska, Riley (Julie) Kelley, North Platte, Nebraska; grandchildren, Seth Kelley, Aaron (Erin) Kelley, Casie Thompson, Cory (Katey) Kelley, Kalob (Isabella) Flamel, Amy (Matt), and Maggie; great grandkids, Christian (Sammantha) Buck, Jakob (Sierra) Buck, Elsacia (Drew) Buck, Cooper, Lainey, and Brystol; great-great grandkids, Shia, Olivia, Alaynna, and Wylie; grandson-in-law, Jake (Meaghan) Buck; sister-in-law, Holly Hiatt, Lincoln, Nebraska; along with other family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband, son Rick, son-in-law, Kris Bain; great-grandson, Kai; siblings, Carol Hiatt, Carolyn Pinault, and Gene Hiatt.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 2, 2024 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, with Rev. James Trippett officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska. Visitation will be noon – 4, Sunday, December 1 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
