James Allen Kohl, age 33, of North Platte, died January 15, 2021 at Great plains Health. James was born on October 23, 1987 in North Platte to George Gosnell and Jody Kohl. He graduated with the class of 2006 at Hayes Center High School. After graduation he worked for Jimmy Johns and at Beaver Creek Mowing. James will be remembered as being a kind hearted person and as a good friend to those around him. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and was a talented artist.

Survivors include his mother, Jody (Lyle Dow) Gosnell of North Platte; 2 brothers, Tony (Lily) Gosnell of Hooper, NE, and Montie Gosnell of North Platte; nieces and nephews, Adion, Zander, Ava Gene, and Zoe Renee; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Gene and Sharon Kohl, Nina and Glen Gosnell; great grandparents, Jenny and Val Payne, and Margaret and Frank Booth; uncles, Frank Kohl, Loren "Oppie" Carland; and an aunt Brenda Kolb. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday January 22, 2021 at Harvest Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Jeremy Rinke officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery at Sutherland.
