Jane Smith, 97, passed away March 24, 2024 at Emerald Care in Cozad.  She was born November 14, 1926 in Ogallah, Kansas to Lyle and Hazel (Smith) DeWitt.

Jane worked for Clark, Mize, & Lillard Law Office in Salina and then at Harold Kay Law Office in North Platte for over 40 years.  She enjoyed gardening, reading, traveling and especially her family.

Survivors include children, Sandra Kruback, Jim (Nancy) Smith, and Diane (Del) Lagerman; grandchildren, Lisa (Kurtis Willard) Cluck, Brenda (Cory) Johnson, Erin (Ryan) Thomasma, and Adam (Corrie) Smith, Mary (Duane) Smith, Bryan Lagerman; 15 great grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Hazel; sisters, Marian, Gertrude, and Myra; son-in-law, James Kruback; great grandson, Bradley Smith.

Cremation was chosen and no services will be held at this time.  Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
