Janice I. Burris, 87, of Casper, Wyoming, formerly from Hershey, Nebraska passed away August 9, 2025 in Casper.  She was born to William and Florence (Jolliffe) Naeve and raised in Bradgate Iowa.

She married her high school sweetheart Virgil Burris who preceded her in death.  Janice and Virgil moved to Hershey Nebraska in the early 70's and raised their family there.  Janice loved her community and the people in it.  She worked several jobs but she really enjoyed being the director at the Hershey Senior Center.  She loved visiting with everyone and feeding them. Janice's hobbies included: embroidery, sewing, gardening, baking, but her favorite was cooking for family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Denise (Jerry) Peters, Paul (Pam) Burris, Doug Burris, Michelle Thomas, Wayne (Jennifer) Burris; grandchildren, William Cran, Jonathan Cran, Derek Burris, DeAnna Maxwell, Chad Burris, Andy Burris, Jeremy Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Mason Willard, Noah Burris; as well as numerous great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Sharon Huseman, Barbara Lewis and Marla Hermann.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 18 2025 at the Hershey United Methodist Church, Hershey, Nebraska.  Burial will follow the service at 2:00 P.M., Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska.  Rev. Mark Baldwin and Rev. Wade Hudson will officiate. Visitation will be from noon-3, with family present, Sunday, August 17 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
