Jerry Rex Fisher
Born on November 26, 1950 to Norma A. (James) and Tommy Jefferson Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; his children: Cassandra (Richard) Winslow, Jamie (Michelle) Fisher, Sara Fisher, Jessica (Casey) Kadner; and his 10 grandchildren: Jazmin, Tyler, Tyee, Aliyah, Danika, Isaak, Kaia, DeLainey, Norah, and Emmett. He is also survived by 3 brothers, 2 sisters, as well as many other family members and friends.
Jerry worked hard his entire life. He was an entrepreneur who owned many businesses over the years.
He loved traveling, hunting, fishing, and mining. His traveling adventures exposed him to many places that he loved. This inspired him to purchase property in various locations such as, Oregon, Nebraska, Texas, and Alaska, where he could enjoy his family and his hobbies.
Jerry was a collector of many things such as ball cards, coins and old cars. One of his favorite collections was his classic cars. He was an active member in Hermiston Classics Car Club, where he enjoyed parades, car shows, and cruise-ins. He enjoyed chatting with friends, listening to oldies and winning trophies and raffles at events.
In all things throughout his life, Jerry was the most happy when he was surrounded by his family. His grandchildren had a very special place in his heart. They meant the world to him, and he loved sharing his life, hobbies and orneriness with them.
Jerry's time was cut short when he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on August 12, 2019.
He will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday August 19, 2019 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, NE with Chaplain Gary Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the Garfield Table Cemetery north of North Platte. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 am until 12:00 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements
