Jessica (Gomez) Nesslein, 48, of North Platte, Nebraska, passed away on July 11, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

Jessica was born on March 31, 1978, in Lamar, Colorado, to Frank M. Gonzales and Juanita (Gomez) Gonzales. She spent much of her childhood traveling with her family as migrant workers, moving from place to place. She attended school in North Platte for a short time before marrying the love of her life, Larry Nesslein, on October 2, 1995.

Jessica and Larry shared 30 wonderful years of marriage built on love, devotion, and unwavering commitment. Jessica was a devoted wife and a proud mother to Daniel, Dylan, Desirea, Rico, Celeste Nesslein, and Philip Guerra. Being a wife and mother was Jessica's greatest joy. She nurtured her family with compassion, patience, wisdom, and above all, unconditional love.

Jessica had a wonderful sense of humor and was well known for being one of the family's greatest pranksters. She loved making people laugh and was always finding ways to bring joy to those around her. She also had an incredible passion for cooking. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she lovingly prepared meals—especially her delicious Mexican dishes—that brought family and friends together. No one ever left Jessica's home with an empty stomach, and more importantly, no one left without feeling loved.

One of Jessica's favorite places to be was in her swimming pool. It was where she found peace, relaxation, and happiness. Whether she was floating quietly on her own or splashing around with her children and others, the pool was where some of her family's favorite memories were made. Jessica enjoyed hosting weekend barbecues and football gatherings. Nothing made her happier than filling her home with family, sharing great food, plenty of laughter, and quality time with the people who meant the most to her.

She also had a remarkable talent for decorating. No matter the season or holiday, Jessica filled her home with warmth, beauty, and festive decorations that her children always admired. She took pride in creating a welcoming home where countless memories were made.

Jessica loved collecting dolphin figurines, listening to her music loud enough for everyone to enjoy, and spending time with her beloved cat, Skutz. She had a vibrant spirit, a generous heart, and always made sure everyone around her was having fun. If someone needed help, Jessica was always one of the first to offer it.

One of Jessica's greatest blessings was becoming a grandmother. She adored her cherished granddaughters—Veronica, Lily, Audriana, Alaya, and Brinlye Brock, and her beloved grandson, Daniel "Danny" Guerra. Each one held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment she spent with them. Her love, guidance, and the memories she created with them will remain forever.

Jessica is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Larry Nesslein of North Platte, Nebraska; her children, Daniel (Saraid) Nesslein of Gothenburg, Nebraska; Dylan (Kara) Nesslein of North Platte, Nebraska; and Desirea Nesslein of North Platte, Nebraska, Rico Guerra, Celeste Guerra, and Philip Nesslein; her grandchildren, Veronica, Lily, Audriana, Alaya, Brinlye Brock, and Daniel "Danny" Guerra; her brothers, Francisco (Rosie) Gomez of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Chris Gonzales of Iowa; her sister, Michelle Gomez (Fernando Vences) of North Platte, Nebraska; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Juanita Gonzales; her brother, Freddie Gomez; and her beloved dog, Gizmo.

Jessica will be remembered for her kindness, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, cared for, and loved. She found joy in the simple things—sharing a home-cooked meal, relaxing in her swimming pool, decorating for the holidays, cheering during football games, or simply spending time surrounded by those she loved.

Although her family grieves this tremendous loss, they find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind. Jessica's legacy is one of unconditional love, incredible strength, perseverance, laughter, generosity, and devotion to her family.
