Joseph Dee "Joe" Call, 68, of North Platte passed away January 30, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Joe was born on December 21, 1954 in North Platte to Donald and Margaret (Gibbs) Call.

He moved around with his military family, graduating from North Platte High School in 1972.  On June 3, 1972 he married Barbara Jo Rose in Colorado.  The couple lived in North Platte and Ogallala for a time, where he worked various jobs before retiring from the Walmart DC.

Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a true jack of all trades, some of which included construction, automotive, computers, woodworking and gardening.  He enjoyed going to church and was a man of faith.  A big part of his life was spending time with his grandchildren and following their activities.

Survivors include a daughter, Harmoni (John) Wagner of North Platte; grandchildren, Chan (Megan) Miller of Cairo, NE, Ryen (Megan) Miller of Ravenna, NE, Rusty Miller of Omaha, Riley Miller of Ravenna, Kayleigh (Aaron) Baca of Houston, TX, Katie Wagner of Lincoln, and Janee Wagner of North Platte; great-granddaughter, Zellie Miller; son-in-law, Roger Miller of Ravenna, NE; siblings, Pat (Kathy) Call of Houston, TX and Linda Getchell of Marquette, NE; several other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara; and a daughter, Angela Miller.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with the Reverend John Stone officiating. Inurnment will follow at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.  Those wishing to sign the register book may do so 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
