Joshua Ryan "Josh" Spate, 30, of North Platte passed away at his home on November 21, 2018.

Josh was born on September 12, 1988 in Kingsburg, CA to Robert Spate and Melodie Peterson. He graduated form North Platte High School in 2006, and attended the University of Nebraska Lincoln, studying Bio-Chemistry. Josh worked at Rookstool Concrete.

He enjoyed pranks and singing karaoke. Josh was very artistic, enjoyed drawing, was very tech savvy, and always had a love of learning.

Survivors include his mother, Melodie (Gary) Currnett of Lincoln; sisters, Ellen of New Jersey and Kimberly of Denver; brothers, Stephen (Tammy) Peterson of North Platte, and Robert Spate of Pennsylvania; grandparents, Larry and Joyce Peterson of McCook, and Eleanor Spate of Kennewick, WA; girlfriend, Courtney Cemer of North Platte; numerous other family members; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Spate; grandmother, Bonny; grandfather, Robert Spate; and great-grandparents, Henry and Louise Peterson.

Cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the North Platte Connection, 414 East 6 ^th . Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
