Juliann "Julie" Sedlacek, 57, of North Platte, passed away on November 1, 2014 at her home. Julie was born on December 27, 1957 to Joe and Mary Wilson Sedlacek. Her death was preceded by her twin brother, Gerald Sedlacek who died at birth. She attended school in North Platte graduating from North Platte High School in 1976. Julie continued her post-high school training at Mid Plains Community College, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
In Denver and Colorado Springs, CO Julie served as an RN for many years. Helping others was truly one of her many gifts. A decade ago Julie moved back to North Platte where she cared for her mother who has Alzeheimers.
Julie is survived by her parents, Joe and Mary Sedlacek of North Platte; sister, Jeanie (John) Iberlin of Buffalo, WY; brother, Mike (Deb) Sedlacek of Bullevue, NE; and nieces, Lucie Sedlacek, Grace (David) Schumacher, and Danielle Barent.

Rosary will be 10:30 a.m. today at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. today at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with the Reverend James Novakowski as celebrant. Burial will be in the Paxton Cemetery. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
