Julie Shottenkirk (53), of North Platte passed away in the late hours of Saturday April 2, 2022, at Josie Harper Hospice House of Omaha with daughters Jessica Seibel and Christine Rego present. Julie was born in Massachusetts on May 17, 1968, to Louise and Robert Yakel. Julie grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. After graduating from high school, Julie loved to travel. In her many travels, she met her husband Michael of twenty-one years in Houston, Texas.

Julie is survived by her husband Michael Shottenkirk; father Robert Yakel; daughters Christine (Michael Grange), Jessica (Jesus), Jasmine (Ryan Vicknair), and Courtney; son Isaiah; nephews Ryan, Kyle, and Bobby; and her many beloved grandchildren.

Julie is preceded in death by her mother Louise Yakel; sister Michelle; grandparents Erma and Rudy; and grandchild Andre.

No services will be held and celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
