Junnie Lee Folchert, age 72 of North Platte, passed away Wednesday July 22, 2015 at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
Junnie was born on September 30, 1942 in Denver, CO to Ross and Margaret (Mortinson) Widener. She graduated from North Platte Senior High school in 1961. After graduation she went to beauty college in Chadron and became a beauty operator at Valley View Nursing Home in North Platte for many years, retiring in 1992. She was united in marriage to Robert E. Folchert on May 28, 1965 in Brady, NE. She was a memb er of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, enjoyed music, collecting Elvis Presley albums and memorabilia, and following her children and grandchildren in their sporting events.
Junnie is survived by her husband Robert of North Platte; children Lonnie (Renee) Folchert of Ogallala, Kenny (Dawn) Folchert of North Platte, and Michelle (Jeff) Niemiec of Omaha; 7 grandchildren Garrett, Dylan and Jessica Folchert, Kade and Zakary Folchert, and Nolan and Cody Niemiec; as well as other extended family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister Janice (Steven) Foster.

Christian Wake Service will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday July 26, 2015 and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday July 27, 2015, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton with Reverend Mark Seiker officiating. Burial will follow Mass at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery. Visitation will be noon until 6:00 on Saturday and Sunday at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
