Karen V. Camp, age 73, of North Platte passed away August 24, 2014 at her home. Karen was born March 31, 1941 to Jack and Iola Tappan McCuiston in North Platte, NE. She attended Jefferson grade school in North Platte and Jefferson, OR High School. On October 5, 1973 in North Platte, she married Noland "Dean" Camp. Karen worked as a nurse's aide and for Janitorial Services.
Karen enjoyed going to and having garage sales, camping, dancing, raising poodles and collecting tigers.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Avila; son, Curtis Gillam; grandson, Christopher Vogler of Oklahoma City, OK; aunts, Lorraine (Dick) Fuller and Amanda (Phillip) Contreas; many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Noland "Dean" Camp; and a brother, Seo McCuiston.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Victory Church of God in North Platte with Pastor Dean Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at McCain Cemetery near Stapleton. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
