Kathryn Elaine Weigel, 55 of North Platte passed away January 17, 2015 at the Callaway Good Life Center. She was born March 17, 1959 in North Platte to Marvin and Elvira (Daggett) McIntosh. Kathryn attended North Platte High School and in January 1976 in North Platte married Ronald D. Weigel Sr. To this union two sons were born, Ronnie and Joe. After her third child Lacey was born Kathryn began nursing school at Mid Plains Community College before moving to Salt Lake City, UT, where she continued her education to become a medical assistant. She later moved to Mullen, NE where she worked at the Mullen Nursing Home. She also worked as a traveling CNA in Colorado for several years. Kathryn moved back to North Platte where she did Home Health work and worked at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Gothenburg. She settled in North Platte where she worked at Wal Mart for 9 years before her health forced her to retire.
Kathryn loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and eating out with her family and friends, spending time on the computer playing games, and animals, especially her cats and rats.
Survivors include her children, Ronnie Weigel Jr, Joseph (fiancé Ashley Frels ), and Lacey Weigel all of North Platte; grandchildren, Maxx Weigel, Elliott Weigel, Chloe Weigel, Lillian Weigel, JoJo Weigel, Lyric Weigel, Mixi Weigel, Oliver Weige; siblings, Mary Kay Martinez of North Platte, Stephen (Diana) McIntosh of Lander, WY, Frances McIntosh of North Platte, Doris Snow, of Cheyenne, WY, and Debra (Troy) Regas of North Platte; special friend, Shirlene Smith of North Platte; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Linda McIntosh; brother-in-law, Simon Martinez; nephew, Travis Martinez; and mother-in-law, Lillian Wolf.

Cremation was chosen and Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday January 23, 2015 at the Salvation Army Church with dinner immediately following the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
