IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kenneth
Joedeman
May 31, 1962 – March 10, 2026
Funeral Service
Kenneth Dale Joedeman was born on May 31, 1962, to Robert and Luella Joedeman in North Platte, Nebraska. Following a courageous battle with cancer, he was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior on March 10, 2026.
Kenny, as he was known by his family and friends, spent his childhood on the family farm with his loving parents and rambuncous bunch of brothers and sisters. He would tell stories about jumping around on hay bales, wrestling with his brothers, and causing general mayhem. He always said they should have broken more bones, but they drank so much milk that their bones were strong.
Kenny attended Stapleton High School and, following his graduation in 1980, he worked with his dad and brothers on the farm. He met the love of his life, Carol, at a Christian singles group in North Platte. During their very first meeting, Carol tied his shoe laces together! She chased him for a while, but he didn’t run very fast. They were wed in 1991. In 1995, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Jessica, into their family. Wanting to further his education and challenge his faith, Kenny and his young family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where he attended Calvary Bible College. Kenny studied Christian counseling and while he enjoyed his time at the college, they did not enjoy the city life. After 3 years, Kenny and his family moved back to Stapleton, where he worked at the local Co-op. He was well known as an excellent mechanic, he loved taking apart anything that didn’t work to see if he could fix it. More often than not, he could!
Kenny loved children and had a big heart, with lots of love to give. Wanting to share that love, Kenny and Carol were delighted to welcome three foster girls into their care: Megan, Olivia, and Gabriella. These girls, along with his daughter Jessica, brought unending love and joy to Kenny.
Throughout his life, Kenny was known for his deep faith and silly personality. He was always ready with a quick joke and a smile. Hearing him burst out into a silly song or hymn was a common occurrence. On Sundays, people would often point out his ties, of which he had a wide variety. From ties with fish or golfing, to Bible verses or various nature themes, they were always a conversation starter. Some of them even made noise. He loved sending Bible verses to his friends and family and would often challenge them with a thoughtful question. His deepest desire was that he would be reunited with those that he knew and loved in heaven.
Kenny will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol, daughter Jessica, “sweetie pie girls” Megan, Olivia, and Gabriella Perez, parents Robert and Luella Joedeman, siblings Linda (Joel) Wentworth, Robbie (Kristi) Joedeman, Bryan (Susan) Joedeman, Lori (Darryl) Busenitz, Julie (Kenley) Udd, Jerri (David) Loewer, Penni (Tim) Shaw, Kris (Jenni) Joedeman, Jan (Peter) Tighe, Debi (Shane) Sundermann, Kari Joedeman, Nikki (Lamar) Jackson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider giving a memorial to Gandy Community Bible Church in honor of Kenny.
Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, March 16, 2026 at Gandy Community Bible Church with Pastor Frank Scott officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
