Larry G. Sable, 77, of North Platte, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 with his family by his side.

Larry was born March 25, 1941 in Ogallala, NE to Merle and Jeanne (Woods) Sable. He began his career with Sixth Street Food Stores at the age of 14, working a job he truly loved for 48 years. He managed stores in North Platte and Lexington before retiring in 2003. Larry was united in marriage to Sharon Stephens on January 25, 1959 and would have soon celebrated their 60 ^th wedding anniversary.

Larry was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. His faith in the Lord was a very important part of his life. He will be remembered by all as a kind and gentle soul.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon of North Platte; son, Brad (Chris) Sable of Albuquerque, NM; daughters, Roxane (Marty) Fox of Duncan, OK, and Shelley (Kent) Turnbull of North Platte; 6 grandkids; 9 great-grandkids; a sister; 5 brothers; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Kayla.

A Celebration of Life is planned from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home where friends are welcome to stop by and share memories of Larry. Cremation was chosen and inurnment will be at a later date at Riverside Cemetery. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
