Lavell Johnson, 90, of Tryon, Nebraska passed away June 15, 2025 in North Platte, Nebraska.  She was born February 10, 1935 to Herman Lewis Neal and Myrtle (Merchant) Neal in Upton, Missouri.

Lavell was united in marriage to Dean Burch in 1952.  To this union a son, Tom was born.  In 1962 she wed Hans Johnson to this union a daughter, Lesa was born.  For most of her life she lived on various ranches between the Tryon and Mullen, Nebraska area.  She moved to North Platte in 1983.  While living in North Platte she worked for the public schools.  After her retirement in 1993 she returned to Tryon where is lived the rest of her life.  Lavell enjoyed gardening, dancing and collecting glassware.

She is survived by her son, Tom (Billie) Burch; daughter, Lesa (Bob) Ellis; grandchildren, Matthew (Hannah) Burch, Natasha Burch (Pat Adamson), Chris (Chantel) Burch, Miranda (Tim) Hessel; great-grandchildren, Crue Jarvis, Ridyr Jarvis, Olyvia Burch, Hans Hessel; sisters, Marie Franklin, Donna Campbell, Dee Gronewaller, Kay Smith; along with many other family members and friends.

Lavell is preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Myrtle Neal; grandson, Devin Burch; brothers, Dale Neal, Darrell Neal, Wilbert Neal, Robert Neal, Alben Neal; son-in-law, Mike Franken.

As per Lavell's request cremation was chosen with no services.
