"Butch" Eshleman
April 15, 1947 – March 29, 2014
Butch grew up in North Platte, NE graduating from North Platte High School in 1965. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1966, serving 3 years, 2 tours in Vietnam with the 51 st Engineers A Company 589 th Engineer Battalion. He was honorably discharged and returned to North Platte.
Butch worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in North Platte, Pocatello, Idaho and Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a carman for the Union Pacific for 20 years.
Butch loved to hunt, fish, play pool and weld. He could build anything. He spent many years hunting with friends in Eastern Colorado and most recently fishing at his cabin at the K-3 area of Lake McConaughy. He was a strong, courageous man with a great sense of humor who never gave up. He was a member of the VFW, Eagles and American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Brady; children, Greg Eshleman, Kelly (Derek) Brown, Heidi (Larry) Thramer all of North Platte, and Clint (Grace) Ingalls of Papillion; mother, Mary Eshleman of North Platte; sister, Cindy (Brad) Andreesen of Lincoln; grandchildren, Justin and Corey Eshleman, Breken Berlyn Brown, Myiah, Luke & Allie Thramer, and Madison Ingalls Yonker; a niece, Sarah (James) Regier of Lincoln; nephew, Cameron Andreesen of Seattle, WA; great-nephew, Owen Regier of Lincoln; numerous other family members; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor James McCrickard officiating. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery with full Military Honors graveside.
Casual or camouflage dress is welcomed. Those wishing to sign the register book may do so from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
